Meet Kawa
Marcus Kawamura is a Creative Director / Brand Builder from Brazil living in Miami, Florida, where he started Kawalab.co, a hub that offers a great net of creatives under his Creative Direction, and engaged on innovation and brand building for startup projects.
Prior to that, he had a stint as CCO and Partner at Nobox digital agency in Miami, was Executive Creative Director at Crispin Porter Bogusky for 4 years and have been partnering with Chuck Porter on Ventures on start-up companies, being responsible for their Brand Strategies and Design concepts. In Brazil, he has worked as an Art Director for major ad agencies such as AlmapBBDO, creating award winning work for 15 years.
He has won more than 60 international awards including multiple Lions at Cannes, D&AD, One Show, CLIO, The Art Directors Club, New York Festivals, London Festival among others. He was elected the "Most Awarded Art Director" by the Brazilian Advertising Festival (CCSP), and has got several ad campaigns named “Top 10 bests” at Gunn Report.
