Burger King Whopper Promo in Mexico City / Speakeasy Knowledge Brokers

 

For Burger King, we ignited a guerrilla campaign that turned the streets of Mexico into an interactive playground for Whopper fans. The insight? Grills are everywhere—if you know where to look. By transforming everyday urban objects—grates, fences, and railings—into sizzling “grills,” Whopper patties appeared “grilling” in surprising places in the city. Fans could scan the QR codes to instantly claim a free Whopper, turning the streets into a flavorful scavenger hunt that brought Burger King’s flame-grilling heritage to life.

To push the promo even further, we invited people to find their own “grills” around the city. By snapping a photo, posting it on Instagram with #LocosPorLaWhopper, and sharing their creativity, they could also win a free Whopper. This simple yet powerful addition scaled the campaign digitally, turning the urban landscape into a viral celebration of flame-grilled fun.
